Book review - Purr by Zazie Todd

Purr; Zazie Todd; Greystone Books 2022

If I could recommend only one book about cats, this would be it.

It presents all the science-based information in a clear, accessible way, but you also get references and sources. So if you’re particularly interested in a topic, you can check out other authors and studies.

I particularly appreciate the inclusion of a couple of overlooked and difficult topics - senior cats and end of life decisions.

Fill out the Checklist For a Happy Cat and follow training plans included in the last chapter - I love that it includes one ‘fun’ behavior (sit pretty) and one ‘fundamental’ behavior (teaching cat to like their carrier).
