Snuffle mat today!

There are so many on the market today, we actually don’t have just one brand favorite.

And, if you’re more handy and patient than we are, you can actually make one yourself. All you need is a plastic base, maaany strips of fleece and a show you can binge on on your favorite streaming service.

(And possibly a couple of glasses of wine)

In extreme cases of lazy enrichment you can turn use your lawn into a giant, natural snuffle mat. (Just make sure you haven’t sprayed any ‘cides’ on it)

Works with dry food or treats only.

Pros:

• encourages foraging

• using nose can reduce anxiety

• super easy and quick set up

• can be DYIed

• loads of options on the market

Cons:

• you really need to supervise dogs that chew on non-edible stuff (lab parents?)

• can’t be used with any type of wet or fresh food
